Privacy Policy
Plain-language summary of what EvidencePick does and does not collect. This policy describes the site as it currently exists and will be updated if that changes.
Who we are
EvidencePick is an independent editorial website that publishes product research. We do not sell products and we do not operate user accounts.
Information we collect
- Technical request data. Like any website, our hosting infrastructure processes standard request information — such as IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, and the time of the request — in order to serve pages and keep the site secure.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, email address and message.
We do not ask for or store payment details, we do not operate a newsletter or mailing list at this time, and we do not run advertising networks on this site.
Analytics
EvidencePick may use basic, aggregate analytics to understand which articles are read. Any such measurement is used only in aggregate to inform editorial decisions. This policy will be updated to name the specific provider if and when one is in use, so that readers can see exactly what is running.
Affiliate tracking links
Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination retailer or its affiliate network may set its own cookies or identifiers to attribute a resulting purchase. That processing happens on their systems and is governed by their privacy policies, not ours. We receive commission and aggregate reporting from those programs; we do not receive your payment details or your order contents in a form that identifies you. See our affiliate disclosure for the commercial side of this.
Cookies
EvidencePick does not set advertising or profiling cookies of its own. Third-party cookies may be set by retailers after you click an outbound affiliate link, as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site remains readable without them.
How we use information
To deliver and secure the website, to reply to messages you send us, and to understand in aggregate which research is useful. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the correspondence and any follow-up. Technical logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period as part of normal operations.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us using the address below and we will respond.
Children
This site is intended for adults making purchasing decisions and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change — for example if we add a named analytics provider or an email newsletter — we will update this page before or when that change goes live.
